Pair of Rafraîchissoirs with Copper Bottle Wells, 19th Century French
A pair of 19th century French mahogany rafraîchissoirs that masterfully combine elegance and functionality. Each table has two copper wells on the end meant to be filled with ice to chill bottles of champange or white wine and a small drawer underneath. Rectangular tops with a small edge can be used to present glassware so guest can serve themselves. Scalloped aprons connect to gracefully long cabriole legs that curve and taper from the corners down to slender feet. Rarely do you find such an elegant pair.
