Pair of Samson Porcelain Urns with Ormolu Mounts, 19th Century French

An exemplary pair of 19th century Samson porcelain urns with ormolu bronze mountings. Each urn is covered with a hand painted porcelain lid matching the body of the vessel surrounded by a ormolu bronze rim and topped with finial in an intricate foliate motif. The vessels are hand painted with floral motifs comprising red, pink, green, blue and purple flowers over a vibrant green background among other decorative elements. Each urn is mounted with intricate ormolu bronze handles and bases each in a foliate motif.
